Moving it more towards a community driven project sounds like a perfect way to keep the plugin alive without requiring my active participation. It's GPL already as you mention, but I agree that keeping this domain alive and updating it to point new users to an active github project would be a good way to go. I haven't used github before (except for downloading code), but I suppose putting a project up there shouldn't be too hard, so I will try to find a moment to do it next week. I have tested this and I get that message every time in Safari 5.1.4 and 5.1.5. The 5.0 releases are fine.
